About Dorm Me

Dorm Me is a web-based student dormitory locator and reservation system. It helps students find dormitories near their school, see accurate room information, and send reservation requests online.

What students can do

Students can search dormitories by location, name, room type, and monthly rate, view them on an interactive map, and sort results by distance from their current location. Each listing shows the address, contact number, description, photos, amenities, room types, rates, capacity, and which rooms are open. Students with an account can pick an available room and submit a reservation request, then follow its status from Pending to Approved or Rejected.

What dormitory owners can do

Owners add and edit their dormitory listings, pin each dormitory on the map, upload photos, manage rooms and rates, and keep room availability up to date. They review incoming reservation requests and approve or reject them. When a request is approved, the room's occupancy is updated automatically.

What administrators can do

Administrators manage student and owner accounts, dormitories, rooms, and reservations, monitor system activity, and generate basic reports.

Scope and limitations

Dorm Me handles reservation requests only. It does not process online payments. Rent, deposits, and other fees are arranged directly between the student and the dormitory owner after a reservation is approved. Room availability is only as current as the owner's last update, and dormitory locations come from the coordinates the owner saved.
